Lundy Island (part 4)

There are 3 lighthouses on Lundy – one at the north-end, one at the south-end, and one in the middle of the island. Originally, there was only one lighthouse located in the middle of the island to save money building them. Unfortunately, because of foggy weather, ships could not see the light until it was too late. So people of Lundy decided to lower the light by making a hole in the middle of the lighthouse. However, it did not have the effect they wished, so they used canons to warn ships. Finally, they gave up and built lighthouses on each end of the island.

They should’ve thought harder before acting…
