The whole island and its surrounding area are protected as a nature reserve. As a result, there are seals and puffins (see picture) as well as deer, soay sheep, and even unique plants like Lundy cabbage. To top it up, there is even a special type of rock called Lundyite!!Buildings on this island are made from Lundyite to withstand strong wind from the Atlantic Ocean.
