The other day, I attended a farewell party for the local English teachers who are leaving this summer. Since I had just recently arrived to Toyooka, it was also a good opportunity for me to meet everyone. Everyone was quite nice, and the community seems very close. It's a shame that so many interesting people are leaving as soon as I arrive. The strangest part of the night was meeting someone from my old home town. I hadn't lived there in almost ten years, so it was quite a surprise. All in all, a very fun evening.
